I created this sunscreen awareness campaign geared towards young adults in NYC. It was illustrated, written, and designed in a way that differs from similar sunscreen campaigns.
My aim was to grab young adults’ attention with colorful illustrations and copy that had a cheeky tone of voice, rather than the typical show-a-groteque-photo-of-cancer campaign, which the young adult demographic would ignore and shy away from. Once attention is attained, the ultimate message is given: skin cancer is a risk for everyone (not just your grandparents) and sunscreen use can prevent the risk of skin cancer.
